As far as the muse of the Kasirga, my guess is that it would either be tragedy or comedy, since tragedy would kinda connect to the possibility of a "low roll" in gambling, and comedy would kinda do the same for a "high roll". Between the two, I think tragedy is much more likely, which is interesting with Dan's theory as to why Melpomene might be the muse of the Kasirga. Also, the name Kasirga likely comes from the same Turkish word, and it pretty much means hurricane/tornado, which would also make sense with tragedy & the gambling theme.

I just wanted to say that I've been watching your podcast since the very first episode, and it's been amazing to see how much you've both improved. The interactions and conversations between you two feel more natural with each episode. I'm really looking forward to the future episodes!

The creature you describe in the Basira & Kaizaimon story is more of a Manticore than a Chimera.

Double green Hera feels so much better. You’re really only replacing the windu and force throws. Which are underwhelming anyways, and you get to use command for ramp, xp, removal, and recursion which is much more impactful and flexible

I've been on the fence about buying into this. For 2 reasons. One) I'm a hermit and never leave my home. Two) I'm not sure if its worth my time as an mtg player of 25 years. What sets this game apart from the myraid of tcgs that makes it worth the invest? I have a number of children and could play with some of them, ages 14 to 6, this is probably to advanced for a 6 year old though.

Definitely going to cause some chaos at the LGS I'm playing at with crazy Lyra decks that I will lose to complete newbies and win meta defining decks. Can't wait!

Late to the party with this video (its awesome by the way) but I totally agree with you in regards to MTG. I used to absolutely LOVE Magic. Had a full foiled Affiinity deck for Modern back in the day and used to travel for events, draft every week with friends etc. It was insanely fun and rewarding. I stopped playing after the original Innistrad block. Thats when the game went downhill fast. Excess printing, EXORBITANT prices on some "special" packs, banlists that make no sense, the art has gone downhill immensely (Pandering for vocal minorities etc), AI generated crap, Yu-gi-oh amounts of texts on cards, reprints out the ass making a lot of collectible cards plummet, MTGA making it pointless to play a bunch of formats (why would you spend the money?) terrible lore choices and the collaboration with other IPs that just make no sense whatsoever. Gross. Commander is an elite card game and should be the only thing MTG exists to do. I know thats impossible, but honestly its the only good thing about the game now. Sad, because how much I used to love it. Simple, gorgeous art and incredible formats all with their own unique feel. Now its just a licence to print money, and honestly it needs to stop.
